Selling a position at the first sign of a downturn, often locking in a loss that would have been temporary. Paper hands describes the inability to endure volatility, typically driven by fear rather than analysis. It is used as a mild insult in crypto communities.

The Moon casts long shadows that look like monsters. The paper-handed seeker mistakes each shadow for a real threat and flees the path entirely. Sometimes the monsters are real, of course. But The Moon does not care about your feelings either way.
